Dock Levelers & Plates:
Overview:
A dock leveler is variable grade ramp platform that is designed to be used as a bridge between the loading dock floor surface and the surface of the load bed of a transporter vehicle. A Rol-Lift dock leveler allows for safe and efficient loading and unloading of goods to/from a transporter vehicle using forklifts or pallet trucks. A dock leveler must be able to support extremely heavy loads. It must also must be able to service a wide range of load bed heights and accommodate unevenly distributed loads. A Rol -Lift dock Leveler incorporates a "floating" rear hinge, otherwise know as Maintained Tilt , that allow the deck plate to tilt to accommodate canted load beds. When integrated with a Rol-Lift Vehicle Restraint, the result is a dock leveler solution that reduces movement of the load bed and optimizes safety and efficiency. A Rol-Lift Dock Leveler is designed to withstand the repeated abuse of dynamic stresses, while maintaining its versatility and structural integrity.
Rol-Lift offers a wide range of capacities, deck sizes, deck constructions and both hydraulic and mechanical operation to suit virtually any application, in any environment. Mechanical dock levelers are spring biased upwards and incorporate a hold down mechanism, while hydraulic units are powered by an electro-hydraulic system.
Regardless of your application the most economical and durable solution is a Rol-Lift Dock Leveler.

I-Beam Construction 30,000 to 80,000 lb. Rated Capacity (13,636 to 36,364 kg.)Strength is the hallmark of Rol-Lift. In fact, we deliver one of the highest strength ratios in the industry with features like high tensile steel. We incorporate a minimum of 6 I-Beam deck supports in all A-Series Dock Levelers. At higher capacities that increases to 8 I-Beams. I-Beams offer greater strength support. Models RLH and RLE Dock Levelers are high performance systems. Push-button electro-hydraulic operation. Automatically actuated hydraulic beveled lip. Maintenance-free hydraulics. Rol-Lift offers a wide range of safety features such as full range toe guard protection, hydraulic fail safe protection and the capability to be interlocked with our optional hydraulic truck restraint system with driver safety communications package. 25,000 - 40,000 lb. Rated Capacities (11,364 - 18,181 kg.)Hydraulic dock levelers are efficient and easy to use. Unlike mechanical dock levelers, there’s no bending and pulling required to operate. Activation and positioning is achieved with constant-pressure push button controls. The electro/hydraulic control and operation lets you address additional safety concerns such as interlocking with vehicle restraints, overhead doors, and other equipment. The ease of operation reduces operator fatigue and the temptation to take shortcuts, making hydraulic levelers particularly valuable for high-volume docks, multiple shifts, and severe conditions. A single push-button control operates both the deck and lip. The controls are conveniently located on one remote wall-mounted station. The leveler is powered by a self-contained, maintenance-free power pack. Deck support is provided by a minimum of 6 formed channels welded at dynamic impact points. A continuous, single-piece headboard further increases strength across the front of the deck. The platform is designed to “flex” up to 4 inches when under load to ensure full-width contact between the lip and trailer bed.

I-Beam Construction 30,000 to 40,000 lb. Rated Capacities (13,636 ot 18,143 kg.)The Rol-Lift 'I-Beam' Series Dock Leveler save you time and money. It is designed for climate controlled applications where the overhead door must be kept closed when not in use. The dock is stored in the vertical postion behind the overhead door allowing ofr a complete energy efficient seal. Heating and cooling loss is minimized. The VS Series includes a "controlled lowering" hydraulic system - the dock attendent must push and hold a button to lower the unit. The power pack also includes "hydraulic float" to allow the deck to move up and down during load transfers. With a service range of 12" (305mm) above cross traffic and 6" (152mm) below, the VS series from Blue Giant can efficiently service a wide range of trailers. The open style continuous pit design is easier to form and reduces construction costs. It also simplifies cleaning and maintenance.

I-Beam Construction 30,000 to 50,000 lb. Rated Capacity (13,636 to 22,727 kg.)Rol-Lift model M-Mechanical Dock Levelers offer excellent value. To operate, pull the release chain. Blue Giant's heavy duty lift springs do the work. The rises and the lip is smoothly powered out of the locked position. Simply walk the deck down onto the truck bed and begin loading. On truck departure, the lip automatically releases and lowers allowing the unit to be returned to the cross traffic position.

25,000 to 40,000 lb. Rated Capacities (11,364 to 18,181 kg.)Simply pull the release chain located at the rear of the platform to release the hold-down assembly. Heavy-duty springs lift the platform above the truck bed and smoothly extend the lip. When the truck is in place, the dock is “walked” down onto the truck bed. Less than 90 lb of walk-down force is needed to lower the deck into position. If below-level operation is required, a second pull-chain located at the front of the platform is activated during walk down. During loading and unloading, the hold-down system uses a disc brake to ensure seamless dock movement to that of the trailer suspension. The platform “flexes” up to 4 inches when under load to ensure full-width contact between the lip and the trailer bed. When the truck departs, the lip automatically drops and can be lowered into the lip keeper to secure the platform.
